Welcome to 2019!

Welcome back to school and to 2019! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and ample time to rest up for all of the busyness we have in store for this month! I was overwhelmed by the Christmas generosity shown to me by families this year, and as I continue writing my thank you notes, please know my gratitude for these gifts. I wish to thank all of our families, present and past, who have given generously to the Seton Foundation’s Annual Campaign. This campaign is vital to our school’s financial health. The campaign began before the break and the donations continue to come in! This is such a blessing to our children and our families as we continue to improve our instructional program and provide enrichment opportunities for our children found only at Seton Catholic School! Your continued support of the Foundation and PTA are the reason for these opportunities!

BRAVO!!!

Belated bravos go out to Miss Snyder and the 4-6th Graders for a wonderful Christmas concert, Grade 1 for their Advent Prayer Service, and the MTKC for their performances! You all truly brought Christmas into everyone’s hearts!

2019-2020 REGISTRATION

In an effort to give our families more time to register before new families, our 2019-20 school year registration will begin on Fri., Jan. 11, 2019! Keep an eye out for your light blue envelope!

All current Seton families who get their registration paperwork and registration fee for next school year in by Friday, February 1st, will be entered to win a pair of Seton BLAST tickets!

Thank you, Seton BLAST Committee, for this generous gift!

OPEN HOUSES AND SCHOOL VISITS

Our Open House Days are a great way for prospective families to get a feel for who we are as a community. The next ones will be held this coming Wednesday and Thursday (1/9 & 1/10) from 9:00-1:00. No need for reservations!

Our Information Night for Kindergarten and Preschool will be held Wednesday, January 16th at 6:30 PM. This is yet another great way for parents to check out our school!

If these dates and times do not work, we give tours of the school year-round. Interested families can call the school to set up a tour at their convenience.

Seton is Rochester’s best kept secret and we need to start spreading the news about our school and what it has to offer! Like us on Facebook and tell all your friends

DECEMBER OPEN HOUSE

Catholic Schools Week is quickly approaching and on everyone’s mind! Our committee of parents, teachers and students is working to make this the best CSW ever! We will kick off with our Catholic Schools Week Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Sunday, January 27 at 10:30. Please plan on attending to celebrate mass with us. Be sure your child is wearing their school uniform so we can represent our school to the parishioners who so generously support our school! Our week-long agenda will be out soon. It is a great week for parents and students to celebrate our unique culture as an educational institution. Join us as much as you can!

CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering is a large part of our success at Seton. Without our parent and grandparent volunteers, not much outside of the classroom would be possible. Our gratitude for this is enormous! A friendly reminder to sign up for lunch duty is extended to those who have not yet committed a day or time. Please email the school office to get things started. And again, many thanks!

SPIRIT WEAR

Our Spirit Wear sale was a huge success! Thank you to Shannon Hansford and Katie Barnum Brezezinski for their hard work and dedication. Spirit wear may be worn on the last Friday of each month with our school uniforms, and on school dress down days.

BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION

Our Fall winners for the Box Top drawing were David Hogan (1G), Alanna Essler (2M), Rachel Stoner (5R), and Ruby DeAscentiis (6K). Keep saving and sending in those Box Tops! For more info on the Box Tops program please contact joline.goetz@yahoo.com.
