Advent Starts This Sunday

This coming Sunday begins Advent! In just a little less than four weeks we will be celebrating Christmas and New Years with our loved ones and moving quickly into 2019! While there is so much to do until then, we should take the time to reflect on all of the wonderful things that have happened in 2018 and appreciate all of the gifts God has given to us in the company of each other

There are so many gifts to be grateful for that we take for granted on a daily basis. One is that of generosity! We have begun so many community service projects. Our children are serving others in many ways this season. Currently, our preschool is holding a toy drive to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital and our whole school is helping by collecting toys! Our 1st grade has started to collect canned and dried goods and socks for the House of Mercy. There is a flyer in today’s Brown Envelope. Thank you for supporting these worthwhile efforts!

December Open House

Our last Open Houses were so successful we thought we’d do it again! On Tuesday, Dec. 11th, from 9:00-1:00, we will welcome prospective families into our building to check us out! Please help us spread the word and let your neighbors know how much you love our school. There are Seton yard signs to purchase for display on your front lawn. Also consider sharing the Open House as an event on Facebook and tell everyone you know that you belong to the Seton family!

School Lock-Down Practice

This week we will begin our safety procedures for potentially dangerous situations. We are required to practice 4 times each year. It is not my goal to frighten children and therefore we will be taking a low-key but serious approach. I will continue to reinforce to our students that the need to practice lock-downs is the same as the need to practice fire-drills.

Best Christmas Gift of All

If you are looking for a gift for your children, please consider giving them the gift of faith. By attending weekly mass you will give your children the knowledge that our Lord loves them and will always be there for them. The Christmas Season is a great time to start!

Box Top For Education

We are still collecting Box Tops! You can turn them in to your teacher. All money earned from Box Tops helps purchase supplies from the teacher’s wish list for the classrooms. For more info on the Box Tops program please contact joline.goetz@yahoo.
